Prepare to be wowed! This wasn’t just a hotel stay, it was an experience. I’m talking about the Penthouse Eiffel Suite at the Pullman Paris Eiffel Tower Hotel. Forget your average hotel room – this suite is bigger than my entire flat back home! And let me tell you, the views from this suite of the iconic Eiffel Tower are absolutely breathtaking. I spent hours researching the perfect hotel room with the best Eiffel Tower view, and I can confidently say, look no further. You won’t find anything better.
A Luxurious Escape: The Penthouse Eiffel Suite
This suite is a luxurious retreat, but it comes with a price tag to match. It’s the most I’ve ever paid for a single night in a hotel. You’re getting a truly unique experience, as this is the only suite of its kind in the entire hotel. So, if you’re interested, you might need to be quick to snag it, especially for popular dates.
Space and Comfort: A Suite for Royalty
This suite offers a staggering 110 square meters of space, which is over 50% larger than my entire flat back in Scotland! The sheer amount of space is mind-blowing, especially when you consider the average hotel room size in the UK. It’s like stepping into a palace!
Indulgent Amenities: A Suite That Caters to Your Every Need
The moment you enter the suite, you’re greeted with a well-stocked bar on your right. The mini-fridge is filled with prosecco, wine, beer, water, and soft drinks. While only the water and soft drinks are complimentary, the prices of the other beverages are quite reasonable, especially for a hotel. You’ll also find tea and coffee (Nespresso machine), glasses, and mugs for every occasion.
The next area is a cozy seating area, complete with a corner sofa, table, and a massive 46-inch flat-screen TV with a Bose speaker system. The suite boasts floor-to-ceiling windows and doors, ensuring you’re constantly bathed in natural light and treated to stunning views. After the seating area, you’ll find a spacious marble dining table with four comfy chairs, perfect for enjoying room service (more on that later). Weather permitting, you can even dine outside on the balcony. A private bathroom is conveniently located just before the bedroom.
A Sanctuary for Relaxation: The Bedroom and Bathroom
Next up is the bedroom, which can be separated from the main suite with sliding doors. You’ll find a king-size bed with some of the most comfortable pillows I’ve ever slept on. The bedroom is generously sized, boasting all the expected amenities, including a chaise longue and another 46-inch flat-screen TV. For those who want to soak in the stunning views, the bedroom also features double doors leading directly onto the balcony.
On the other side of the bedroom lies a massive bathroom area. In the corner, you’ll find a luxurious double bathtub stocked with C. O. Bigelow toiletries. The shower area features a wonderful rain shower with a handheld shower option. The bathroom also boasts two sinks with large mirrors and a second toilet.
Storage and Entertainment: A Suite That Feels Like Home
For those planning a longer stay, the Penthouse Eiffel Suite offers ample storage space, including a walk-in closet. You’ll also find a Bose dock with an iPad to play music throughout the suite.
The Eiffel Tower’s Best View: A Moment You’ll Never Forget
No review of the Penthouse Eiffel Suite would be complete without discussing its unparalleled view. As I mentioned earlier, I researched extensively to find the best Eiffel Tower view from a hotel room, and this suite was my top find. Even the concierge service I use through my American Express Platinum card couldn’t locate a better view. It’s the suite’s standout feature.
This suite comes with a continuous balcony that stretches from one side to the other, complete with a table and chairs. You’ll be treated to breathtaking views of the Eiffel Tower, especially during the evening when the tower sparkles for five minutes every hour from 6 pm to 1 am. This is a must-do for any Instagram enthusiast!
The Hotel’s Amenities: A Parisian Gem
The hotel is conveniently located on the left bank of Paris, right next to the Eiffel Tower. It boasts 430 rooms with nine different room types and three suite types. The hotel also has the FRAME brasserie and a bar, perfect for a delicious Parisian meal or a relaxing drink. Check-in starts at 2 pm, but we were able to request an early check-in and arrived around noon. Check-out is typically at 11 am, but we were able to request a noon check-out, and the hotel staff was incredibly accommodating.
Getting to the Hotel: Easy Access from Paris Airports
The hotel is approximately 18 miles from Charles de Gaulle Airport and 10 miles from Paris Orly Airport. The Gare Champ de Mars Tour Eiffel station is a short five-minute walk away and can be reached from Charles de Gaulle Airport using a combination of the RER B and RER C services in just under an hour. The cost is around 11€ (£9 / $12) one way. Alternatively, you can take Le Bus Direct line 2, which takes roughly 60-70 minutes and costs 18€ (£15 / $20) one way. You won’t have to change lines. If you’re driving, paid parking is available at the hotel.
Room Service Delight: A Culinary Experience in Your Suite
With the incredible view from our suite and the massive marble table, we decided to indulge in room service. The starters ranged from 11€ (£9 / $12) for soup to 19€ (£16 / $21) for a chopped avocado salad with smoked salmon toast and a grain bowl.
The main courses started at 14€ (£12 / $16) for linguine and went up to 37€ (£32 / $41) for a 300g seared strip steak. We both opted for the steak, and it was excellent! The hotel staff brought it up on a hot plate and set the table for us. Other main course options included a spiced chicken dish and the fish of the day.
Desserts averaged around 12€ (£10 / $13) and included options like chocolate fondant, cheese, and fruit salad. Some dishes across the three courses were available 24 hours a day, with healthy options marked on the menu. The hotel also offers a TV Dinner option for 29€ (£25 / $32), which includes a sharing platter with smoked salmon, roasted chicken, ham, cheese, salad, and tortillas.
Would I Stay Here Again? Absolutely!
This was truly an unforgettable experience. While the price of the suite might seem daunting, for a special occasion, it’s worth every penny. The suite is spectacular, and how often can you say you’ve stayed in a room with such an incredible view of the Eiffel Tower? If only I had the money to stay in places like this for every trip!
