While the public nature of traditional Turkish baths might make some uncomfortable, Charme d’Orient offers a completely different experience. The spa’s focus on privacy and pampering ensures a comfortable, relaxing, and blissfully happy journey for all.
What to Expect in a Couples Turkish Bath
We were greeted with a warm welcome at the Charme d’Orient Spa, where a private haven awaits couples seeking a unique experience. Any hesitation you might have about trying a Turkish bath will vanish as you prepare for your time at this luxurious spa.
After changing into bathing suits in a private room, we were led to our own personal space, where a gentle cleanse and lathering prepared our skin for the exfoliating scrub, removing dead skin and leaving us with soft, refreshed skin. Next came the soothing mousse, infused with your choice of aromatic oils, creating a truly personalized experience. The entire process, from lathering to scrubbing and washing, is remarkably relaxing.
Choosing Your Scent: A Personal Touch
The first thing you’ll notice at Charme d’Orient is the aroma of carefully selected essential oils filling the air. You’ll have the opportunity to choose your own scent for your treatment from a variety of options like rose, orange blossom, and captivating floral blends. We chose rose oil, Hugo’s favorite, and a floral concoction for myself.
Fun fact: the shape of the oil bottles is inspired by the female form, a beautiful touch we couldn’t resist sharing with you.
A Touch of History: The Spa’s Unique Products
Charme d’Orient is much more than just a spa. This unique establishment takes pride in manufacturing its products in France, offering certified training, and even assisting hotels in setting up their own spas.
The brand’s legacy stems from its original formula for gentle hair removal with wax, a natural and honey-based method renowned for its effectiveness. While we didn’t get a chance to experience this particular treatment during our visit, it was interesting to learn about the process.
Beyond the Bath: Hamman Relaxation and Heavenly Massages
Our Turkish bath experience was followed by a blissful relaxation session in the private hammam – a perfect continuation of the spa’s calming atmosphere. Sharing this experience with Hugo made it even more special.
We couldn’t believe how relaxed we already felt, but then came the 30-minute massages – absolutely divine! It’s hard to imagine a more blissful massage in Paris. You might even catch a glimpse of our blissful post-massage videos on Instagram.
A Soothing Escape: The Relaxation Room
Our spa journey ended in the gorgeous relaxation room – a tranquil haven designed to prolong the sense of calm and peace. The room’s stone arch structure, reminiscent of traditional Marais caves, creates a soothing atmosphere that invites you to unwind and simply be.
Bringing the Spa Home: A Gift to Remember
As a parting gift, Hugo surprised me with the opportunity to choose a product from the spa’s luxurious collection. Among the tempting options, I couldn’t resist a masque blanc face mask – with honey and royal jelly. This mask has become my new Sunday evening ritual, a soothing way to end the week and purify my skin.
