Oh, the horror! My Parisian dream turned into a nightmare at this so-called hotel. Let me tell you, it was nothing like the photos. From the moment I booked, things went from bad to worse.
The Nightmare Begins: A day before my arrival, I received a late-night call from the hotel. My Concorde Executive Suite had been double-booked, and I was downgraded to a smaller room. I was furious! I demanded a full refund, but the hotel insisted it was an honest mistake. Thankfully, Booking.com intervened, and I got my original room back.
More Trouble Awaits: Arriving in Paris, I struggled to find the “hotel” – it was more like a run-down apartment complex. The access code I received was wrong, and I was left stranded outside for two long hours. The staff ignored my calls. When I finally got inside, the place looked nothing like the pictures. It was dark, dirty, and depressing. I was told I couldn’t check in immediately but could leave my luggage.
The Manager’s Insulting Laughter: While waiting, I spoke to a cleaner who called the manager. He asked who I was and burst into laughter when he heard I was booked into the room that someone else was already in. He found it funny, but I didn’t.
A Disgraceful Reception: Returning at 3 PM, I met the owner. He was pompous and rude. He showed us the “suite” which was a small, dark room totally different from the photos. The walls were marked, and the door was damaged. I asked for a refund, but he said to go stay at the Four Seasons instead. He refused to give me my money back and kicked me out into the street. With £1100 down the drain, I had to find another hotel. This place is disgusting!
Avoid This Hotel at All Costs! There are homeless people begging outside – enough said.
A Mixed Experience: Good Location, Bad Service
The location of this hotel is a big plus. It’s close to the Louvre, the Moulin Rouge, and a metro station. However, the area around the Moulin Rouge is quite seedy, and the metro was closed during our stay due to strikes.
The hotel itself is old and rundown and doesn’t match the photos we saw online. Our rooms were small and felt dirty despite being seemingly clean. The bathroom had a broken sliding door and a dirty air conditioning unit. The hairdryer was also faulty.
The breakfast was basic, but the bread was delicious. The staff was not very helpful, and the receptionists seemed more interested in their phones than in their guests. Booking a taxi to the airport was a major hassle.
Overall, this hotel needs a lot of improvement. The location is good, but the poor condition of the rooms and the unhelpful staff made our stay unpleasant.
A Pleasant Stay: A Great Parisian Experience
We had a wonderful time staying at this hotel! It’s located in a charming area with great shops and restaurants just across the square. The metro station is only a two-minute walk away, making it easy to explore Paris.
The staff was helpful and even arranged for our family rooms to be located next to each other. We enjoyed the room with a balcony and the spectacular view of the Eiffel Tower, especially at night.
The breakfast was excellent, with a great variety of hot and cold food. We also appreciated the hotel’s help with booking our taxi and printing our boarding passes. The Wi-Fi worked flawlessly throughout the hotel.
This was my second stay at this hotel, and it was just as nice as the first time. I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Paris!
