Our one-night stay at Maison Albar Le Diamond was overshadowed by a disappointing experience, despite the hotel’s stylish and pleasant atmosphere. We were initially given a smaller room than booked, but were offered a larger room after pointing out the discrepancy.
Unacceptable Charge and Lack of Communication
However, the real disappointment came after we left when we received an unjustified charge of 250 Euros for a supposed strong smell of smoking in the room. This was completely unfounded, as neither of us smokes, and we found the amount of smoking in France in general to be unpleasant. The hotel failed to communicate with us before imposing this charge, adding to our frustration.

The charge was reversed after contacting the manager, Ms. Conan, but the experience was incredibly upsetting. Being charged for an offense we did not commit without any attempt to verify the claim is unacceptable.
