The City of Lights Shines Bright

Paris is the real star of the show, and this season does not disappoint in showcasing its iconic beauty. Emily’s journey takes her through familiar haunts and introduces new locations, each with its own distinct charm.

The series opens with Emily and Alfie enjoying a leisurely stroll through Jardin du Palais-Royal, a classic Parisian garden located near the Louvre. The fourth episode whisks us to the romantic Parc des Buttes Chaumont, a stunning park in the north-east of Paris, known for its picturesque lake and the Temple de la Sibylle.

But Emily isn’t just a fan of classic Parisian charm. The show also highlights the city’s modern side. La Roue, the giant Ferris wheel in Jardin des Tuileries, offers a unique perspective on the city skyline.

Season four takes us back to some of the most beloved Parisian landmarks. Emily streams herself from the Sacré-Coeur, the magnificent basilica perched atop Montmartre, and then returns to the same location in a later episode. The penultimate episode is a mini-tour of the city’s cultural treasures, with Gabriel and Camille visiting the Musée d’Orsay, an art museum housed in a former railway station, and Le Mur des Je t’aime, a colorful wall dedicated to love.

The season also brings back the iconic Opéra Garnier, a location featured in season one. Sylvie, a central character, takes center stage in this episode.

A Culinary and Cultural Journey

This season, Emily’s adventures extend beyond iconic landmarks, exploring Paris’s rich cultural scene. The series features a delightful blend of traditional Parisian charm and modern, cutting-edge experiences.

We are treated to a glimpse of the city’s artistic side through the Musée des Arts Decoratifs, where Emily attends a retrospective for designer Pierre Cadault.

Emily’s friend, Mindy, is a burgeoning star in the Parisian cabaret scene. Her performance in Episode 1 takes place at La Trompette Bleue, a classic cabaret club filmed in the historic La Nouvelle Eve. In Episode 7, Emily and Gabriel enter a new dimension of immersive entertainment at Pop Air, a unique inflatable experience hosted at La Grande Halle de la Villette.

Beyond the arts and entertainment, Emily’s journey leads her to some of the city’s most celebrated restaurants and cafes. Camille enjoys a cup of coffee at Le Café Marly, a charming cafe on rue du Rivoli. Emily’s boss, Sylvie, indulges in a romantic evening at Brasserie Lutetia, followed by a delicious meal at La Société in the trendy St-Germain des Prés neighborhood.

Mindy’s musical journey takes her to a variety of venues. In Episode 1, she performs at a drag bar, filmed at Roxie, a club near the Champs-Élysées. Episode 10 features a performance at Huatian Chinagora, a riverside restaurant in the southern suburbs, with the interior scenes shot at the Shang Palace restaurant in the city’s 16th arrondissement.

A Grand Finale in the City of Lights

The season concludes with a spectacular fashion show, directed by Emily for designer Grégory. The production chose the grand Hall of Mirrors at the Palais de Versailles for this event, a testament to the grandeur of Parisian history. The scene is reminiscent of the first season’s lavish use of iconic Parisian locations.

As the season comes to a close, we find Emily standing on the Pont Neuf, the oldest bridge in Paris, contemplating her future. This symbolic scene emphasizes Emily’s journey of self-discovery and the profound impact Paris has had on her life.

Emily in Paris Season 4 is more than just a glamorous escape; it’s a celebration of Paris, its unique culture, and the vibrant spirit of the city that continues to enchant audiences around the world.
