SkyMiles Program: Earn Rewards for Your Travel
Are you a frequent flyer? If so, join our SkyMiles Program! As a member, you can rack up miles on most flights, giving you access to exciting travel rewards and perks.
However, keep in mind that Basic Economy tickets aren’t eligible for SkyMiles accrual or Medallion Status.

Basic Economy: A Budget-Friendly Option
If you’re on a tight budget, Basic Economy fares are perfect for you! These fares offer affordable travel, but they also come with some restrictions.
For example, Basic Economy tickets aren’t refundable or changeable. Additionally, you won’t get a seat assignment until you check in, and you can’t upgrade your ticket.

What to Expect Onboard
Delta offers a variety of seat products and amenities to make your flight comfortable. However, the specific amenities and seat configuration can vary based on the aircraft type and size.

Baggage Fees: Know Before You Go
When traveling with Delta, you’ll need to pay baggage fees for checked bags. The fee amount will vary depending on your travel destination and the fare class you’ve booked.
For travel within the United States (including Puerto Rico), you’ll pay $35 USD for your first checked bag and $45 USD for your second checked bag.
For travel between the United States and Canada, you’ll also pay $35 USD for your first checked bag and $45 USD for your second checked bag.
For travel between the United States and the U.S. Virgin Islands, Central America (excluding El Salvador and Panama), Caribbean, Guyana, or Bermuda, you’ll be charged $35 USD for your first checked bag and $45 USD for your second checked bag.
For travel between the United States and Mexico, you’ll pay $35 USD for your first checked bag and $45 USD for your second checked bag.
For travel between the United States and El Salvador or Panama, you’ll pay $35 USD for your first checked bag (Basic Economy only) and $45 USD for your second checked bag.
For travel between the United States and Ecuador or Colombia, you’ll pay $45 USD for your first checked bag (Basic Economy only) and $100 USD for your second checked bag.
For travel between the United States and Brazil, Chile, Paraguay, Peru, or Uruguay, you’ll pay $70 USD for your first checked bag (Basic Economy only) and $100 USD for your second checked bag.
For travel between the United States and South America (excluding Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Paraguay, Peru, and Uruguay), you’ll pay $60 USD for your first checked bag and $100 USD for your second checked bag if you book a Basic Economy fare. If you book a Main Cabin fare, you’ll get your first checked bag free and pay $60 USD for your second checked bag.
For travel between the United States and Europe, you’ll pay $75 USD or 70 EUR for your first checked bag (Basic Economy only) and $100 USD or 85 EUR for your second checked bag.
For travel between the United States and Africa (excluding Algeria, Morocco, and Tunisia), the Middle East or India, you’ll get your first checked bag free and pay $100 USD for your second checked bag (Basic Economy Only).
For travel from the United States to Algeria, Morocco, or Tunisia, you’ll pay $75 USD for your first checked bag (Basic Economy only) and $100 USD for your second checked bag.
For travel from Algeria, Morocco, or Tunisia to the United States, you’ll get your first checked bag free and pay $100 USD or 85 EUR for your second checked bag.
For travel between the United States and Israel, you’ll pay $60 USD for your first checked bag (Basic Economy only) and $100 USD for your second checked bag.
For travel between the United States and Asia (excluding Australia, New Zealand, China, Fiji, and Papua New Guinea), you’ll get your first checked bag free and pay $100 USD for your second checked bag (Basic Economy only).
For travel between the United States and Australia, New Zealand, China, Fiji, or Papua New Guinea, you’ll get your first checked bag free and pay $100 USD for your second checked bag.
For travel between the United States and French Polynesia, you’ll pay $60 USD or 50 EUR for your first checked bag (Basic Economy only) and $100 USD or 85 EUR for your second checked bag.

Award Travel: Fly With Your Miles
You can use your SkyMiles to redeem for Award Travel! This is a fantastic way to travel the world for less.
Keep in mind that Award Travel is subject to taxes, fees, and carrier-imposed charges. You’ll need to pay these at the time you book your ticket.
Also, Award Seats are limited and may not be available on all flights or in all markets.
For Main Cabin and above Award Travel tickets, you can change or cancel your Award tickets without a redeposit or change fee if your travel originates from the United States or Canada.

Changes and Cancellations: Plan Ahead
Most Delta tickets are non-refundable. However, there are some exceptions outlined in our cancellation policy.
For Basic Economy tickets and tickets issued for travel originating outside of the United States and Canada, charges and fees apply for changes and cancellations.
