A Symphony of Parisian Elegance
The Grand Hôtel has been a symbol of Parisian luxury since its opening. Rochon’s first intervention in 1985 brought the hotel up to modern standards while preserving its historical charm. His latest work in 2021 focused on the integration of breathtaking views of the nearby Opéra Garnier – a landmark of the Belle Époque.
Three Signature Suites and two Duplex Suites were designed as opulent private apartments, each with a unique and stylish Parisian flair. The meticulous attention to detail is evident in the diverse range of fabrics, with over twenty different references in a single room. Rochon’s vision for these spaces is to blend classic elements with modern touches, like adorning a traditional armchair with a contemporary fabric. He unveiled the hidden glass roof of the hotel a few years ago, and now in 2021, he is bringing a more residential feel to the various room categories.
The Café de la Paix, a beloved Parisian institution, has also undergone a transformation. Rochon chose a soothing palette of greens and creamy white for the café, creating a fresh and luminous atmosphere. The breakfast area was redesigned with three open kitchens, offering a modern touch while preserving the café’s historic character. The café remains a legendary destination, with its inviting presence on both the boulevard des Capucines and the Place de l’Opéra.

The Grand Hôtel offers six kilometers of hallways, each with evocative names like Haussmann, Rivoli, Opéra, Montmartre, and Capucines. These corridors lead to the 458 guest rooms, all meticulously renovated this summer to reflect the opulence of the Second Empire and the prestigious Haussmannian spirit.
The hotel’s five luminous Signature Suites, ranging from 100 to 229 square meters, stand as symbols of the Grand Hôtel’s renewed identity. These suites, designed as chic Parisian apartments, each with a unique character, offer unparalleled views of the capital. The hotel’s four historic Presidential Suites (140 square meters, two bedrooms, and a grand living room) have also been renovated, preserving their classic charm and the protected decor of the first-floor suite.
