A Taste of Doha in Paris: Jiwan’s Culinary Takeover at Le Meurice

Jiwan, Doha’s acclaimed MENA restaurant nestled within the National Museum of Qatar, is embarking on a unique culinary journey to the heart of Paris. From July 29th to August 4th, Jiwan will be taking over Le Dalí, the renowned restaurant at the prestigious Le Meurice hotel, bringing a taste of Doha’s vibrant flavors and rich cultural heritage to the City of Lights.

This takeover is more than just a culinary exchange; it’s a celebration of multiculturalism, a core value of Jiwan. The restaurant’s Distinctively Doha cuisine, inspired by the Middle Eastern flavors and regional culinary traditions, will captivate Parisian palates.

Le Meurice, known for its history as a haven for artists and thinkers, provides the perfect setting for this cultural exchange. Imagine elegant Parisian aesthetics seamlessly blending with Doha’s rich traditions, creating a truly unique dining experience.

From July 29th to August 3rd, diners can indulge in Jiwan’s delectable offerings through set sharing menus or à la carte options for both lunch and dinner. And on August 4th, a special Jiwan brunch will be offered, leaving guests with a bespoke Middle Eastern spice blend as a delightful souvenir. Morgan Perrigaud, Jiwan’s Head Chef, expresses his excitement, “I am thrilled to bring the flavors of the Middle East to Paris during such an exciting week for sport.”

Simultaneously, a visual showcase of Qatar’s Olympic history, “Qatar Sport Panorama,” will be displayed on the wall of the Qatar Embassy in Paris on Champs-Élysées boulevard from July 15th to September 8th. Meanwhile, Mathaf: Arab Museum of Modern Art will be showcasing 19 remarkable works at the Musée d’Art Moderne de Paris.

These exhibitions offer a comprehensive glimpse into Qatar’s rich cultural tapestry and sporting heritage. To enhance the experience, curated tours will be offered, culminating in a celebratory lunch by Jiwan at Le Dalí.
