A New Era of Gastronomy

The Eiffel Tower is committed to giving its 6 million annual visitors an unforgettable experience. After revamping the grounds and gardens in 2018, the next big step is the exciting new food program. With a focus on Parisian and French cuisine, the Eiffel Tower is determined to provide the finest culinary experiences to its guests.

A Stellar Team for an Exceptional Experience

The entire food offer has been completely redesigned by Umanis, a new concessionaire with a visionary approach. Led by a dream team of Michelin-starred chefs – Frédéric Anton (3) and Thierry Marx (2) – the new food concept represents a major leap forward in quality. This includes reimagined dining spaces, innovative menus, and a strong commitment to environmental and social responsibility.

The Jules Verne: Parisian Culinary Paradise

Prepare to be enchanted by the reimagined Jules Verne restaurant! Under the leadership of renowned chef Frédéric Anton, this essential Parisian gastronomic destination will reopen its doors in summer 2019.

The journey starts at the ground level with a refurbished entrance and a private elevator ride to the second floor, where the Jules Verne awaits. Talented architect Aline Asmar d’Amman has created a breathtaking new interior.

Chef Anton’s menu is a celebration of classic French cuisine with a modern twist. You can enjoy breakfast, lunch, or dinner in the main dining room or indulge in an exclusive culinary experience in the private lounge or the kitchen itself.

The Brasserie: Parisian Bistro with a Twist

On the first floor, double-starred chef Thierry Marx is transforming the Brasserie (formerly known as 58 Tour Eiffel). While the restaurant undergoes a complete renovation from September 2019 to February 2020, you can enjoy new menus by Chef Marx starting March 13th.

The reimagined Brasserie, designed by Ramy Fischler and Nicola Delon, boasts a two-level architectural masterpiece. The spaces are divided into “islands,” providing breathtaking views and showcasing the Tower’s iconic structure.

Chef Marx’s vision for the Brasserie is to create a “universal” dining experience. The menu focuses on simple, high-quality ingredients, offering a modern Parisian bistro experience. The Brasserie is also committed to sustainability and social responsibility, using locally sourced ingredients within a 200 km radius of Paris and minimizing waste.

A Taste of the Eiffel Tower on Every Floor

The Eiffel Tower experience will be just as delicious as it is innovative.

From April to December 2019, various food and beverage points will be set up throughout the Tower. On the Esplanade, you can grab a delicious Eiffel Tower cone (salty or sweet) or enjoy seasonal snacks from food tricycles (like Parisian hot dogs, detox bars, soup, and ice cream). Forget about long lines at the kiosksorder pancakes or waffles with the “bees” and have them delivered right to you!

On the first floor, the old buffet will be transformed into a Parisian bistro. Starting in December 2019, the Eiffel Tower Bistro will offer take-away sandwiches by Thierry Marx during the day and sit-down dinner in the evening featuring local dishes.

The second floor will be home to “Comptoir” stands offering exclusive and colorful take-away options, including mini sandwiches, pastries, and macarons from the Guilde des artisans (a network of local Parisian food artisans).

And finally, the Champagne Bar at the top of the Tower is expanding this spring. This capsule between earth and sky, 905 feet above the ground, will offer a timeless experience with champagne and French caviar.

A Shared Vision of Quality and Sustainability

The Eiffel Tower’s food and beverage concession has been awarded to Umanis, led by Sodexo, in partnership with three key players:

  • Frédéric Anton (3) for the Jules Verne*
  • Thierry Marx (2) for the 1st floor Brasserie*
  • Ubudu, a specialist in visitor flow management

Sodexo Sports and Loisirs has created the “Guilde des artisans” (Guild of Craftsmen), a network of local Parisian and Ile-de-France food artisans. These artisans were selected for their exceptional skills and commitment to sustainability. They offer a wide selection of local and seasonal products, chosen by a jury chaired by Chef Thierry Marx.

This collaboration between local artisans and the iconic Eiffel Tower highlights the best of Parisian culinary traditions while supporting the local economy and community.
