A Culinary Journey to the Top of Paris: 58 Tour Eiffel

Welcome to the 58 Tour Eiffel, an iconic Parisian dining experience that has evolved through the decades! From humble beginnings to its chic present, this brasserie offers a glimpse into the history of the Eiffel Tower and a delectable taste of French cuisine.

A Century of Culinary Change

The Eiffel Tower’s dining scene has undergone a dramatic transformation over the years. Back in 1889, four restaurants graced the first floor, fueled by gas lighting and featuring kitchens located below. However, these were demolished for the 1937 International Exposition, replaced with a mere two restaurants. Then, in the 1980s, during a grand renovation of the Eiffel Tower, these were redesigned and dubbed “La Belle France” and “Le Parisien,” becoming must-visit spots for Parisian diners.

In a fascinating twist, these two restaurants were merged into a single, expansive brasserie. This unique establishment, designed by Slavik and Loup with a hot air balloon theme, was aptly named “Altitude 95,” reflecting its location 95 meters above sea level.

A Modern Oasis of Parisian Delights

The 58 Tour Eiffel, as it is now known, underwent another stylish renovation in 2009, opening its doors with a chic new look. Patrick Jouin, the mastermind behind the Jules Verne restaurant’s interior design, brought his artistic touch to this brasserie.

The cuisine at 58 Tour Eiffel is a celebration of French flavors, crafted by Chef Alain Soulard. Soulard, a seasoned chef who has worked alongside the renowned Alain Ducasse at the Jules Verne, focuses on creating exceptional French dishes for seminars and events, ensuring that 58 Tour Eiffel caters to diverse palates.

Picnics with a Parisian Flair

During the day, 58 Tour Eiffel offers a delightful picnic-style lunch experience. From 11:30 am to 4:30 pm, guests can indulge in a non-stop service of two or three-course meals, with last orders for main courses at 3:45 pm. The dishes are presented in charming baskets, allowing diners to enjoy their meals at their table, adding to the picnic-themed atmosphere.

A selection of tempting dishes awaits, including classic favorites like Caesar salad, seared tuna, and roasted poultry risotto, along with delectable desserts like the Crousti Eiffel cake. For younger diners, a dedicated children’s menu ensures everyone can enjoy a delightful meal.

Dinner with a View: Parisian Evening Elegance

As the sun sets, 58 Tour Eiffel transforms into a sophisticated evening dining destination. The restaurant, with its contemporary décor, soft lighting, and minimalist furniture designed by Patrick Jouin, creates a sense of luxury without detracting from the panoramic views.

For an unforgettable dinner experience, choose from two seating times: 6:30 pm or 9 pm. Reservations are essential to secure a table at this popular spot. The evening menu features a range of options, from the “Opera” menu, starting at €70 per person, to the more elaborate “Service Premier,” available during the 9 pm seating.

The Service Premier provides a privileged seating experience in the main dining room, with a tasting menu that includes an aperitif, starter, two main courses, dessert, mignardises, wine, mineral water, and coffee. For an additional fee, guests can request window seating with breathtaking views of the Trocadero.

Children can also enjoy a specially curated children’s menu, even featuring a chocolate Eiffel Tower cake for a truly memorable dining experience.

A visit to the 58 Tour Eiffel is a truly unique Parisian experience, offering breathtaking views, exceptional cuisine, and impeccable service. Don’t forget to purchase your Eiffel Tower tickets for access to the restaurant, and book your table online for an unforgettable evening high above the City of Lights.
