Imagine waking up to the iconic Eiffel Tower right outside your window. This isn’t just a dream; it’s the reality you get when you book the Pullman Eiffel Suite, a truly exceptional experience that left me speechless. This suite, now known as the Penthouse Eiffel Suite, is a haven of luxury and breathtaking views, and it’s no wonder it’s become my favorite hotel stay ever.
A Suite that’s More than Just a Room
Luxury doesn’t come cheap, and this suite is no exception. It’s the most expensive hotel room I’ve ever booked, but the experience is truly worth it. This unique suite is the only one of its kind in the entire hotel, so you’ll have to act fast, especially for popular dates.
The suite itself is an incredible 110 square meters of space, making it bigger than the flat I was living in at the time! This sheer spaciousness is almost unbelievable when you consider the average UK hotel room size is just 32 square meters.
An Oasis of Comfort and Style
From the moment you step inside, you’re greeted by a luxurious bar area stocked with a mini fridge full of drinks, including prosecco, wine, beer, water, and soft drinks. Only the water and soft drinks are complimentary, but the other beverages are priced competitively. You’ll also find tea and coffee (Nespresso machine), along with a selection of glasses and mugs.
The seating area is perfect for relaxing with a corner sofa, a table, and a 46-inch flat-screen TV with a Bose speaker system. Floor-to-ceiling glass windows and doors ensure you always have the stunning Parisian views right in front of you. A large marble dining table with four comfortable chairs invites you to enjoy the delicious room service options. Or, if the weather permits, you can dine al fresco on the balcony, with the Eiffel Tower as your backdrop. Just before the bedroom, you’ll find a well-appointed bathroom.
A Bedroom fit for a King (or Queen)
The bedroom is a sanctuary of peace and tranquility. It can be closed off from the rest of the suite with sliding doors, offering privacy when you need it. The king-size bed is draped in luxurious linens, and topped with some of the most comfortable pillows I’ve ever experienced. The bedroom is spacious and comes equipped with everything you’d expect, including a chaise longue and another 46-inch flat-screen TV. Double doors lead directly to the balcony, allowing you to step out and soak in the spectacular views.
A Bathroom Designed for Pampering
The bathroom is just as impressive as the rest of the suite. It features a double bath, perfect for relaxing with a glass of wine while enjoying the luxurious C. O. Bigelow toiletries. The shower is a delight, with a powerful rainfall showerhead and a handy hand shower for added convenience. The bathroom also boasts two sinks with large mirrors and a second toilet for added comfort.
Extra Touches that Make a Difference
For longer stays, the Pullman Eiffel Suite offers plenty of storage space, including a walk-in wardrobe room. There’s also a Bose dock with an iPad for playing music throughout the suite, ensuring you can always enjoy your favorite tunes.
The View that Takes Your Breath Away
The pièce de résistance of this suite is, without a doubt, the view. After countless hours of research, I can confidently say this suite offers the most breathtaking view of the Eiffel Tower you’ll find in any hotel room in Paris. Even the concierge service I use through my American Express Platinum card couldn’t find a better option. This truly is the unique selling point of the suite.
The balcony stretches across the entire width of the suite, providing a continuous space to enjoy the Parisian cityscape. A table and chairs allow you to dine outdoors or simply relax and enjoy the stunning views.
Top Tip: From 6pm, the Eiffel Tower twinkles for five minutes every hour until 1am. This is the perfect opportunity to capture some unforgettable Instagram-worthy photos!
An Unforgettable Parisian Experience
The Pullman Eiffel Suite is located on the left bank of Paris, right next to the Eiffel Tower. The hotel itself has 430 rooms in nine different types, plus three suite options. There’s also the FRAME brasserie and a bar for dining and drinks. Check-in is at 2pm, but we were able to request an early check-in and arrived around noon. Check-out is at 11am, but we were able to request a later check-out of noon, and the hotel was very accommodating.
Getting There is Easy
The hotel is conveniently located just 18 miles from Charles de Gaulle airport and 10 miles from Paris Orly airport. The Gare Champ de Mars Tour Eiffel station is a short five-minute walk away and can be reached from Charles de Gaulle airport using a combination of the RER B and RER C services in under an hour. The cost of this journey is around 11€ (£9/$12) one way. Alternatively, you can take Le Bus Direct on line 2, which takes 60-70 minutes and costs 18€ (£15/$20) one way, but you won’t have to change buses. You can also drive, as paid parking is available at the hotel.
Indulging in Room Service Bliss
With the suite’s incredible view and the large marble dining table, we opted for room service rather than going down to the brasserie. The room service menu offered a variety of options. Starters ranged from 11€ (£9/$12) for soup to 19€ (£16/$21) for a chopped avocado salad with smoked salmon toast and a grain bowl.
Main courses started at 14€ (£12/$16) for linguine and went up to 37€ (£32/$41) for a 300g seared strip steak. We both chose the steak, and it was absolutely delicious. The hotel staff brought it up on a hot plate and set the table for us, which was a lovely touch. Other main course options included a spiced chicken dish and the fish of the day.
Desserts were around 12€ (£10/$13) on average and included options like chocolate fondant, cheese, and fruit salad. Some dishes across all three courses were available 24 hours a day, and the menu included a “healthy” section with lighter options. There was also a “TV Dinner” option featuring a sharing platter with smoked salmon, roasted chicken, ham, cheese, salad, and tortillas for 29€ (£25/$32).
Would I Stay Here Again? Absolutely!
The Pullman Eiffel Suite is truly an unforgettable experience. While the price tag might make it seem out of reach for most people, it’s an experience that’s worth saving up for. For a one-off stay, it’s an absolute dream. The suite is simply fantastic, and how often can you say you’ve stayed in a room with such an amazing view of the Eiffel Tower? If only I had the money to stay at places like this for all of my trips!
