A Culinary Journey at the Eiffel Tower’s 58 Tour Eiffel

Imagine dining high above the City of Lights, with the iconic Eiffel Tower as your backdrop. This is the reality at 58 Tour Eiffel, a chic brasserie with a rich history and a captivating view.

A Culinary History

The Eiffel Tower has been a symbol of Paris since its construction in 1889. From the very beginning, it boasted a culinary presence with four restaurants gracing its first floor. Their kitchens, nestled below, hummed with the energy of gas lighting. Over the decades, the restaurants have undergone transformations, mirroring the changing tastes of the times.

In 1937, during the International Exposition, the original restaurants were replaced by two new establishments. The 1980s saw another reimagining with the creation of “La Belle France” and “Le Parisien”, both must-visit destinations in Paris. The two restaurants then merged into a single grand brasserie, “Altitude 95”, a fitting name given its 95-meter elevation. This brasserie, adorned with a hot air balloon theme, was a vision by the designers Slavik and Loup.

A Chic Transformation

The Eiffel Tower’s culinary landscape continued to evolve. In 2009, the brasserie was completely renovated and rebranded as “58 Tour Eiffel”, a name inspired by its location on the 58th floor. Interior design guru Patrick Jouin, responsible for the stunning Jules Verne restaurant, crafted a chic and modern ambiance for 58 Tour Eiffel.
