From the Michelin-starred Jules Verne restaurant to takeaway treats on every floor, prepare to be wowed by a new era of Parisian gastronomy.
A Tower of Transformation: A Culinary Revolution
The Eiffel Tower, welcoming over 6 million visitors annually, is constantly reinventing itself. After enhancing security and rejuvenating its gardens in 2018, the next big step is a food revolution. The new food offerings are designed to showcase the best of Parisian and French cuisine, promising an unforgettable experience for every visitor.
A New Era of Gastronomy: A Michelin-Starred Collaboration
This exciting transformation is led by the new concessionaire Umanis, a partnership of renowned culinary experts. Michelin-starred chefs Frédéric Anton and Thierry Marx are at the helm, creating a culinary journey unlike any other. Every aspect is thoughtfully redesigned, from the architecture of the dining spaces to the menu itself. The focus is on reinventing classic French cuisine, emphasizing environmental sustainability and social responsibility.
The Jules Verne: A Parisian Culinary Destination
The Jules Verne restaurant, a jewel of French gastronomy, will reopen its doors in the summer of 2019 under the guidance of Frédéric Anton, a three-star chef and winner of the coveted “Meilleur Ouvrier de France” award. His ambition? To make the Jules Verne an essential stop on any Parisian culinary pilgrimage. This journey begins with a revamped entrance and a private elevator ride to the restaurant’s location on the second floor of the Tower.
A New Chapter for the Jules Verne: A Culinary Tapestry
Stepping into the Jules Verne, you’ll be greeted by a breathtaking interior designed by the talented architect Aline Asmar d’Amman. The restaurant’s new menu is a masterpiece of reinvention, showcasing both classic French dishes and exciting new additions. Enjoy breakfast with a view, savor unique culinary experiences in a private lounge, or even witness the magic of the kitchen firsthand.
The Brasserie: A Parisian Bistro for Every Taste
On the first floor, the Brasserie (currently named 58 Tour Eiffel) will be transformed under the expert direction of Thierry Marx, a two-star chef. Before embarking on a complete renovation from September 2019 to February 2020, the Brasserie will be offering new lunch and dinner menus starting March 13th.
A Bistro Reborn: Simple, Sustainable, and Delicious
Led by Ramy Fischler and Nicola Delon, the Brasserie will undergo a complete transformation. The two-level space will be divided into “islands” offering guests stunning views while showcasing the Tower’s original structure. Thierry Marx aims to create a truly “universal” space with his Parisian bistro cuisine. His focus is on simple, high-quality ingredients, sourced primarily from within a 200km radius of Paris. The Brasserie will also be a champion of sustainability and social responsibility, minimizing waste and supporting local producers.
A Culinary Adventure on Every Level: Take Away Delights
The Eiffel Tower experience is about to become even more delicious, with takeaway options throughout the structure. From the Esplanade to the top, every level will offer a unique culinary adventure.
From Esplanade to Summit: Culinary Treats for Every Taste
Starting in April 2019, the Esplanade will be a bustling hub of culinary delights. Savor the delicious Eiffel Tower cones, both savory and sweet, perfect for a quick bite on the go. Food tricycles will offer seasonal treats, including Parisian hot dogs, detox bars, soup, ice cream, and sweets. And thanks to the “bees,” you can order your favorite pancakes and waffles, pay, and have them delivered right to you on the Esplanade, eliminating those long lines.
The Eiffel Tower Bistro: A Parisian Experience
On the first floor, the old buffet will be transformed into the Eiffel Tower Bistro, a traditional Parisian bistro offering a wide variety of takeaway sandwiches by Thierry Marx during the day, followed by sit-down dinner service featuring local dishes in the evenings.
A Culinary Journey to the Top: Exclusive Treats
On the second floor, you’ll find the “Comptoir,” offering a delightful array of exclusive takeaway treats, including mini sandwiches, pastries, macarons, and more. And at the very top, the Champagne Bar will be expanding in the spring, offering a truly breathtaking experience with champagne and French caviar in a capsule suspended between earth and sky, 905 feet above the ground.
A Collaboration of Culinary Excellence: Umanis and the Guilde des artisans
This culinary revolution wouldn’t be possible without the incredible team at Umanis, led by Sodexo. Partnering with Frédéric Anton and Thierry Marx, Umanis has created a culinary experience that is both innovative and authentic.
The “Guilde des artisans” (“Guild of Craftsmen”) is a network of Parisian and Ile-de-France food artisans, carefully selected for their exceptional skills and dedication to sustainable practices. Their commitment to local and seasonal products, selected by a jury chaired by Thierry Marx, brings the best of French culinary tradition to the Eiffel Tower. This project aims to celebrate local craftsmanship and contribute to the Tower’s vibrant ecosystem.
Get ready to experience the Eiffel Tower like never before: a culinary masterpiece waiting to be savored.
