A Culinary Journey to the Top: Dining at 58 Tour Eiffel

The Eiffel Tower, a symbol of Paris, boasts a rich history intertwined with culinary experiences. From its inception in 1889, the tower housed four restaurants on its first floor, their kitchens powered by gas lighting. These restaurants, though, were demolished during the 1937 international exposition, replaced by only two.

A Transformation Through Time: From Brasserie to Chic Restaurant

The Eiffel Tower’s dining landscape continued to evolve. In the 1980s, during a major renovation, the two restaurants were remodeled and renamed La Belle France and Le Parisien, quickly becoming must-visit spots in Paris.

However, a dramatic shift occurred when these two restaurants merged into a single brasserie, designed by Slavik and Loup, with a hot air balloon theme. This unique eatery, aptly named Altitude 95, captured the essence of its 95-meter elevation above sea level.

But the culinary journey didn’t stop there. In 2009, the brasserie underwent another complete transformation, emerging as the chic and modern 58 Tour Eiffel. The redesigned space, led by Patrick Jouin, who also crafted the interior of the Jules Verne restaurant, exudes elegance and sophistication.

An All-Day Culinary Experience: From Picnics to Fine Dining

The 58 Tour Eiffel offers a diverse dining experience, catering to various tastes and occasions. During the day, picnic-style lunches are served non-stop from 11:30 am to 4:30 pm. Enjoy a two-course (starter and main course, or main course and dessert) or three-course option, all served at the counter in a basket, perfect for a casual and charming dining experience.

The menu boasts a selection of tempting dishes like Caesar salad, seared bonito tuna, roasted poultry risotto, and Crousti Eiffel cake, guaranteeing something for everyone. There’s even a dedicated children’s menu to ensure the little ones enjoy their dining adventure.

Evening Delights: Elevated Dining with Parisian Flair

As the sun sets, the 58 Tour Eiffel transforms into a sophisticated evening dining destination. Enjoy a two-hour sitting at either 6:30 pm or 9 pm, savoring chic and classic French cuisine. This experience is truly unforgettable, offering stunning panoramic views of the city while indulging in gourmet flavors.

Reservations are essential for evening dining. Be sure to book in advance to guarantee a table at this popular restaurant. Choose from a range of menus, with options starting from €70 per person for a three-course meal with a glass of champagne, known as the Opera Menu.

Special Occasions and Customized Experiences: Beyond the Ordinary

For special occasions, like a wedding anniversary or family holiday in Paris, consider the Service Premier at the 9 pm sitting. This exclusive service offers privileged seating in the main dining room, and for an extra touch, you can request a window table with views of the Trocadero.

The Service Premier provides a tasting menu that includes an aperitif, starter, two main courses, dessert, mignardises, wine, mineral water, and coffee. The cost for this extraordinary experience is €135 per person, or €155 per person with a window table.

There are also children’s menus available for the Service Premier, even offering a chocolate Eiffel Tower cake to make the experience extra special.

Don’t forget: To access the 58 Tour Eiffel restaurant, even for a booked evening meal, you must purchase tickets to ascend the Eiffel Tower. Bookings can be made online through the official Eiffel Tower website.

Enjoy your culinary journey to the top at 58 Tour Eiffel, where the exquisite cuisine and stunning views will create memories you won’t soon forget.
