A Taste of Parisian Excellence

The Eiffel Tower is constantly evolving to provide a unique and memorable experience for its 6 million annual visitors. After enhancing the tower’s grounds and gardens in 2018, the focus shifted to revolutionizing the food experience, showcasing the best of Parisian and French cuisine.

The new food venture is a collaborative effort spearheaded by Umanis, a leading concessionaire, and two renowned Michelin-starred chefs: Frédéric Anton and Thierry Marx. This partnership has resulted in a complete overhaul of the tower’s dining options, focusing on quality, innovation, and sustainability.

A Culinary Destination: The New Jules Verne

The Jules Verne restaurant, a Parisian culinary icon, will reopen its doors in the summer of 2019, under the masterful direction of Frédéric Anton, a three-Michelin-starred chef and winner of the prestigious Meilleur Ouvrier de France competition. Anton’s ambition is to solidify the Jules Verne’s position as a must-visit culinary destination in Paris.

The journey begins with a reimagined entrance and a private elevator, leading guests to the restaurant’s breathtaking location on the second floor of the Eiffel Tower. Step inside and be captivated by the stunning new interior, designed by the acclaimed architect Aline Asmar d’Amman.

The new Jules Verne offers a refined menu that reinterprets the classics of French cuisine, while also introducing exciting new experiences like a unique breakfast menu and exclusive dining in a private lounge or the kitchen itself.

A Parisian Bistro Experience: The Brasserie

On the first floor of the tower, the Brasserie, currently known as 58 Tour Eiffel, is undergoing its own transformation under the leadership of the two-Michelin-starred chef Thierry Marx. Before closing for a complete renovation from September 2019 to February 2020, the restaurant is unveiling new menus by Marx for dinner and lunch.

The future Brasserie, a two-level architectural masterpiece envisioned by Ramy Fischler and Nicola Delon, will transform the space into a vibrant hub, with distinct dining areas offering unobstructed views of the city while highlighting the tower’s original structure.

Thierry Marx’s vision for the Brasserie is to create a universal dining experience, offering a classic Parisian bistro cuisine that emphasizes simple, high-quality ingredients. The Brasserie will also embrace a deep commitment to environmental and social responsibility, utilizing local products sourced within 200 km of Paris and minimizing waste.

Happiness on Every Floor: Takeaway Treats

The Eiffel Tower experience is about to get even tastier! From the Esplanade to the top, the Tower is rolling out a diverse range of delicious takeaway options starting in April 2019.

On the Esplanade, visitors can grab a savory or sweet Eiffel Tower cone to enjoy on the go. Food tricycles will also offer a variety of seasonal snacks, from Parisian hot dogs to detox bars, soups, ice cream, and desserts. No more waiting in line! The Tower’s “bees” will deliver freshly made pancakes and waffles right to your location on the Esplanade.

On the first floor, the old buffet is being reimagined as a traditional Parisian bistro, offering take-away sandwiches by Thierry Marx during the day and a sit-down dinner with local specialties in the evening.

On the second floor, “Comptoir” stands will feature an array of exclusive and colorful takeaway dishes, including mini sandwiches, pastries, and original creations from the Guilde des artisans.

And at the top, the Champagne Bar is expanding this spring, offering an unforgettable experience 905 feet above the ground. Enjoy a glass of champagne and French caviar in this unique capsule between earth and sky.

A Commitment to Local Craftsmanship

The Eiffel Tower’s new culinary direction is not just about great food; it’s also about supporting local artisans and promoting sustainability. Umanis, the concessionaire, has partnered with Sodexo and a network of Parisian and Ile-de-France food artisans, known as the “Guilde des artisans,” who have been carefully selected for their expertise and commitment to eco-responsible practices.

These artisans provide the Tower’s visitors with a curated selection of local and seasonal products, ensuring a truly authentic Parisian experience. This collaboration highlights the best of local craftsmanship and contributes to the economic and social well-being of the surrounding community.

The Eiffel Tower’s culinary revolution promises a truly unforgettable experience, offering a taste of Parisian excellence and a commitment to quality, sustainability, and local craftsmanship. So, get ready to savor the flavor of Paris at the top of the world!
