Picture this: you’re in Paris, gazing out your window at the iconic Eiffel Tower, its glittering lights illuminating the night sky. This isn’t a dream; it’s the reality of staying in the Penthouse Eiffel Suite at the Pullman Paris Eiffel Tower Hotel. This luxurious suite, previously known as the Eiffel Suite, is a haven of comfort and extravagance, offering a breathtaking view that’s truly unforgettable.
This is not your typical hotel room. It’s an entire suite, larger than my flat! I poured hours into researching the best view of the Eiffel Tower, and this suite surpassed all my expectations. It’s a once-in-a-lifetime experience, and I’m here to share my review with you.
A Suite Designed for Luxury
The Pullman Eiffel Suite is a symphony of space and luxury. Imagine stepping into a room that spans 110 square meters, more than twice the size of a typical UK hotel room. This generous space is meticulously designed to offer the ultimate in comfort and indulgence.
As you enter, you’ll be greeted by a fully-stocked bar area, complete with a mini-fridge brimming with prosecco, wine, beer, water, and soft drinks. While most of the drinks come at a price, the complimentary water and soft drinks are a thoughtful touch. A Nespresso machine ensures your caffeine fix, and an array of glasses and mugs cater to every beverage preference.
The seating area beckons you to relax with its plush corner sofa, elegant coffee table, and a massive 46-inch flat-screen TV with a Bose speaker system. The expansive windows offer stunning views, and the floor-to-ceiling glass doors bathe the suite in natural light.
A grand dining experience awaits in the spacious dining area, where a marble table seats four comfortably. Whether you’re indulging in room service delicacies or enjoying a private dinner with breathtaking views, this area is perfect for creating unforgettable memories.
A Luxurious Retreat
The bedroom is a haven of tranquility. Sliding doors separate this private sanctuary from the main suite, creating a serene atmosphere for a restful night’s sleep. The king-size bed boasts luxuriously soft pillows, ensuring the most comfortable sleep imaginable. A chaise longue provides a cozy spot to curl up with a book, and another 46-inch flat-screen TV allows you to enjoy your favorite shows in comfort.
The expansive bathroom is a spa-like oasis, featuring a luxurious double bath with an array of C.O. Bigelow toiletries. The rainfall shower is a delight, with a hand shower for added convenience. Two sinks with large mirrors and a second toilet complete this luxurious haven.
The suite is perfect for extended stays. A walk-in wardrobe provides ample storage space for your belongings, and a Bose dock with an iPad allows you to play your favorite music throughout the suite.
The Eiffel Tower View: A Sight to Behold
The highlight of the Pullman Eiffel Suite is, without a doubt, the view. I meticulously researched the best hotel rooms with Eiffel Tower views, and this suite emerged as the undisputed champion. Even the concierge service at my American Express Platinum card couldn’t find a better vantage point.
The panoramic view from your suite is simply breathtaking. Imagine waking up to the Eiffel Tower bathed in the morning sunlight, or watching it twinkle at night, its sparkling lights illuminating the Parisian skyline. The suite’s continuous balcony stretches from one side to the other, providing a perfect spot to enjoy the view with a table and chairs.
Pro Tip: The Eiffel Tower sparkles for five minutes on the hour from 6 pm to 1 am. This is the perfect opportunity to capture those Instagram-worthy photos of the iconic landmark bathed in glittering light.
Location and Amenities
The Pullman Paris Eiffel Tower Hotel boasts a prime location on the Left Bank, just steps away from the Eiffel Tower. It houses 430 rooms in nine different styles, along with three suite options. You’ll find a brasserie called FRAME and a bar, providing ample dining options within the hotel.
Check-in is at 2 pm, but we were able to request an early check-in and arrived around noon. Check-out is at 11 am, but the hotel was more than accommodating when we requested a noon check-out.
Getting to the Hotel
The hotel is conveniently located approximately 18 miles from Charles de Gaulle Airport and 10 miles from Paris Orly Airport. The Gare Champ de Mars Tour Eiffel station is a short five-minute walk away, offering easy access from both airports. You can reach the station from Charles de Gaulle Airport using a combination of RER B and RER C services in just under an hour for around 11 euros.
Another option is Le Bus Direct line 2, which takes roughly 60-70 minutes and costs 18 euros. Paid parking is available at the hotel for those who prefer driving.
Culinary Delights: Room Service and Beyond
With the breathtaking view from the suite and the spacious dining area, we opted for room service to enjoy our meals. The starters ranged from 11 euros for soup to 19 euros for a chopped avocado salad with smoked salmon toast and a grain bowl.
Main courses began at 14 euros for linguine and reached 37 euros for a 300g seared strip steak. We couldn’t resist the steak, and it was truly excellent. The staff brought it up on a hot plate and set the table for us, providing a delightful dining experience. Other main course options include a spiced chicken dish and the fish of the day.
Desserts average around 12 euros and include options like chocolate fondant, cheese, and fruit salad. Some dishes across the three courses are available 24/7, and the menu features healthy options as well. For a more casual dining experience, a TV Dinner option is available, offering a sharing platter with smoked salmon, roasted chicken, ham, cheese, salad, and tortillas for 29 euros.
Would I Stay Here Again? Absolutely!
The Pullman Eiffel Suite is a truly unforgettable experience. While the price might seem daunting, it’s worth every penny for a special occasion. The suite is luxurious, spacious, and offers a breathtaking view of the Eiffel Tower.
