Get ready to be amazed! I recently had the privilege of staying in the Penthouse Eiffel suite at the Pullman Paris Eiffel Tower Hotel, and let me tell you, it was an experience I’ll never forget. It’s not just a hotel room; it’s a luxurious haven offering breathtaking views of the iconic Eiffel Tower. I poured countless hours into researching the perfect Parisian escape, and this suite absolutely topped my list. If you’re dreaming of a room with the most stunning Eiffel Tower panorama, look no further.
A View Worth Every Penny
Of course, such unparalleled views don’t come cheap. This suite is the most expensive hotel room I’ve ever booked, costing as much as a week-long vacation elsewhere. It’s the only suite of its kind in the entire hotel, so if you’re set on experiencing this Parisian paradise, be sure to book well in advance, especially during peak season.
Space, Style, and Luxury
The suite spans a massive 110 square meters, making it larger than my own flat! It’s truly extravagant, especially when you consider the average hotel room size in the UK is a mere 32 square meters.
As soon as you step inside, you’re greeted by a chic bar area stocked with prosecco, wine, beer, water, and soft drinks. While only the water and soft drinks are complimentary, the other beverages are priced competitively. There’s also a Nespresso machine for your coffee fix and a selection of glasses and mugs for every drink imaginable.
Beyond the bar, a comfortable seating area with a corner sofa, table, and a 46-inch flat-screen TV with Bose speakers awaits. Floor-to-ceiling windows and doors flood the suite with natural light and unobstructed Eiffel Tower views. Next comes a grand marble dining table with four plush chairs, perfect for enjoying room service (more on that later). For those lovely Parisian evenings, you can dine al fresco on the balcony, soaking in the magical atmosphere. A spacious bathroom completes this section of the suite.
A Bedroom Fit for Royalty
The luxurious bedroom, separated from the main suite by sliding doors, boasts a king-size bed with some of the most comfortable pillows I’ve ever encountered. It’s a spacious haven with all the expected amenities and the added bonus of a chaise longue and another 46-inch flat-screen TV. Double doors open directly onto the balcony, allowing you to step out onto the balcony and marvel at the twinkling Eiffel Tower at any time.
An Oasis of Tranquility
Adjacent to the bedroom lies a lavish bathroom that’s truly an oasis of relaxation. A double bath sits in the corner, complete with an assortment of high-quality C. O. Bigelow toiletries. The shower boasts a refreshing rainfall showerhead and a hand shower for added convenience. The main bathroom area features two sinks, large mirrors, and a second toilet for ultimate comfort.
For extended stays, the Pullman Eiffel Suite offers ample storage space, including a walk-in wardrobe room. A Bose dock with an iPad provides music throughout the suite, setting the perfect ambiance for a Parisian evening.
The Showstopper: The Eiffel Tower View
No Pullman Eiffel Suite review would be complete without highlighting the breathtaking view of the Eiffel Tower. It’s the star of the show, and it’s why I chose this suite above all others. Even the concierge service I use through my American Express Platinum card couldn’t find a hotel room with a better view!
A continuous balcony, stretching the entire length of the suite, provides the perfect spot to admire the Eiffel Tower’s grandeur. A table and chairs allow you to relax and savor the moment, whether you’re enjoying a glass of wine or simply soaking in the atmosphere.
Pro Tip: Don’t miss the Eiffel Tower’s sparkling light show. From 6 pm onwards, the tower lights up for five minutes every hour until 1 am. It’s a truly magical sight and a perfect backdrop for those Instagram-worthy shots.
A Parisian Gem
The hotel itself is located on the left bank of Paris, right next to the Eiffel Tower. It boasts 430 rooms, including nine different room types and three suite options. The hotel also features the FRAME brasserie and a bar for a variety of dining experiences. Check-in starts at 2 pm, but we were able to request an early check-in and were welcomed at noon. Check-out is at 11 am, but we were granted a noon check-out thanks to the hotel’s accommodating staff.
Getting There
The hotel is conveniently located about 18 miles from Charles de Gaulle airport and 10 miles from Paris Orly airport. The Gare Champ de Mars Tour Eiffel station is just a five-minute walk away, accessible via a combination of the RER B and RER C services from Charles de Gaulle airport in under an hour. The cost is around 11€ (£9/$12) one way. Alternatively, you can take Le Bus Direct on line 2, which takes about 60-70 minutes and costs 18€ (£15/$20) one way. Paid parking is also available at the hotel if you choose to drive.
Culinary Delights
With the stunning Eiffel Tower view from our suite and a large marble table, we opted for room service instead of dining at the brasserie. Starters ranged from 11€ (£9/$12) for soup to 19€ (£16/$21) for a chopped avocado salad with smoked salmon toast and a grain bowl in between.
Main courses started at 14€ (£12/$16) for linguine and went up to 37€ (£32/$41) for a 300g seared strip steak. We both chose the steak, which was absolutely delicious. The hotel staff brought it up on a hot plate and set the table for us, ensuring a delightful dining experience. Other main course options included a spiced chicken dish and the fish of the day.
Desserts were around 12€ (£10/$13) on average, offering choices like chocolate fondant, cheese, and fruit salad. Some dishes across the three courses were available 24 hours a day, and the menu featured a healthy options section. There was also a TV Dinner option with a sharing platter of smoked salmon, roasted chicken, ham, cheese, salad, and tortillas for 29€ (£25/$32).
Would I Stay Again? Absolutely!
The Pullman Eiffel Suite is truly exceptional, offering an experience that exceeded my expectations. While the price tag may seem steep, it’s a once-in-a-lifetime experience that’s worth every penny. How often do you get to stay in a room with such breathtaking views of the Eiffel Tower? I highly recommend this suite for anyone seeking a luxurious and unforgettable Parisian adventure.
