A Parisian Dream with a Few Flaws: Reviewing Le Tout Paris Restaurant at Cheval Blanc Paris

Le Tout Paris, nestled on the seventh floor of the stylish Cheval Blanc Paris hotel, offers breathtaking views of the Seine and the iconic Eiffel Tower. Located at 8 Quai du Louvre, it’s a prime spot for soaking in Parisian charm. This brasserie-style restaurant, one of three dining options at the hotel (along with the Italian Langosteria and the three Michelin-starred Plenitude), is open daily for breakfast and dinner.

You’ll feel the Parisian vibes instantly. Imagine yourself enjoying a delicious meal while gazing at the city’s most famous landmarks.

Dinner with a View: Le Tout Paris’s Ups and Downs

Dinner at Le Tout Paris is an experience that’s both delightful and frustrating. The terrace seating is the ultimate choice, especially if the weather cooperates, allowing you to fully appreciate the stunning Seine views. However, the indoor space, while grand, feels a bit ostentatious compared to the hotel’s understated elegance.

The food itself is a mixed bag. The onion soup was a standout, both in taste and dramatic presentation, while the pommes dauphines side dish was also a winner. The chicken and lamb mains, though well-prepared, lacked memorability. However, the cheese plate, despite a frustratingly long wait, was a tasty treat.

Unfortunately, the evening’s biggest drawback was the loud, party-like music that played throughout the restaurant. Even when we politely requested a change, the music remained loud and distracting. This unwelcome ambiance made it difficult to enjoy the meal and the beautiful surroundings.

While Le Tout Paris offers a stunning view, it feels like there’s a disconnect between the ambiance and the food. The food, while well-prepared, wasn’t particularly noteworthy, and the loud music made the dining experience less than ideal.

Breakfast Bliss: A Parisian Morning at Le Tout Paris

Breakfast at Le Tout Paris was a complete 180 from our dinner experience. There was no music, making for a peaceful and relaxing morning. The service was impeccable, with a friendly and attentive server.

The breakfast menu is à la carte, offering a variety of delicious options. Instead of a buffet, everything (except the freshly baked pastries) is made to order.

A delightful array of breads and pastries, along with berries and vanilla bean yogurt, were brought to our table. We couldn’t resist indulging in the crepes, brioche perdue (French toast), and eggs Florentine—each bite a delightful taste of Parisian breakfast tradition.

The quality of the pastries surpassed those found at other luxury hotel breakfast buffets in Paris. And the decadent hot chocolate, with its rich, high-quality chocolate, was the perfect way to end our morning.

Le Tout Paris’s breakfast truly shines, offering a peaceful and delicious way to start your day in Paris. The high-quality ingredients, friendly service, and peaceful atmosphere make it a highlight of the Cheval Blanc Paris experience.

The Verdict on Le Tout Paris

While we wouldn’t return for dinner unless the music was toned down, Le Tout Paris’s breakfast is a must-try. The peaceful atmosphere, delicious food, and excellent service make for a truly memorable Parisian morning.

If you’re looking for a beautiful view and a high-quality breakfast experience, Le Tout Paris at the Cheval Blanc Paris is worth a visit. However, if you’re seeking a quiet and relaxing dinner experience, you might want to consider other options.
