A Parisian Gem: Hotel Original Paris

Paris is renowned for its charming, boutique hotels, and I recently discovered a new favorite: the 4-star Hotel Original Paris. This stylish haven is now open after a temporary closure, making it the perfect destination for your next Parisian adventure.

During a quick trip to Paris, I stumbled upon Hotel Original Paris while searching for accommodation. Located on the edge of Le Marais, one of my favorite areas in Paris, this hotel quickly caught my eye.

A Parisian Gem: Hotel Original Paris

A Welcoming Oasis in the Heart of Paris

Hotel Original Paris stands out on Boulevard Beaumarche, boasting a stunning purple facade and lavender lighting. Its central location provides easy access to iconic Parisian landmarks like Place de la Bastille, the Marais Quarter, and Place des Vosges.

The hotel is a true gem, nestled in a vibrant neighborhood brimming with stylish shops, museums, parks, and captivating architecture. The area is also a haven for foodies, with a plethora of cafes and restaurants offering a diverse range of culinary delights.

Unique Style and Comfort

Forget bland, corporate hotels. Hotel Original Paris is a cool, quirky retreat with a touch of Parisian charm. Designed by Stella Cadente, the hotel is inspired by “fantasy and poetry,” blending original features, extravagant materials, and unexpected surprises. One room even features a bathtub in the center!

We booked a triple room and were delighted with an upgrade to a quad, a spacious room with a king-sized bed and two twin beds cleverly separated by a curtain. This thoughtful touch allowed me to wake up early for work without disturbing my daughters.

Alice in Wonderland-Inspired Decor

The room was tastefully decorated with a whimsical Alice in Wonderland theme. Lavender walls, a black and white striped armchair, a small desk with a red velvet chair, and a black lacquer built-in wardrobe created a charming and inviting ambiance.

The beds were incredibly comfortable with crisp white sheets. While I noticed a plastic liner under the fitted sheet, I later understood its purpose when I read about the bed bug situation in Paris.

Luxurious Bathroom Amenities

The bathroom was a luxurious oasis with black and white ceramic tiles, fluffy terrycloth bathrobes and slippers, and a refreshing rain shower. I was particularly impressed by the toiletries. It was like stepping into a French pharmacy, a favorite experience of mine, with its abundance of high-end cosmetics and intoxicating scents.

The toiletries were from the brand Uriage eau Thermale, a brand I was unfamiliar with, and I am now completely obsessed with it! I’m on a mission to find it in the UK. The separate toilet room was a welcome addition, especially with three people sharing the space.

Wellness and Relaxation

The hotel offers a tranquil wellness area, complete with a duo treatment room and a sauna. This intimate space provides a sanctuary for relaxation, offering personalized treatments using natural, organic French products from Huygens Paris.

The sauna, impeccably maintained and spacious enough for 3-4 people, includes an adjoining shower with those fabulous Uriage eau Thermale amenities. We enjoyed a relaxing sauna session after a day of exploring Paris, before heading out for dinner.

Exceptional Service and Amenities

The hotel’s staff is truly exceptional, providing warm and friendly service. They are always happy to offer local recommendations, including a delightful suggestion for a cat cafe.

Other amenities include a complimentary breakfast from 7:00 to 11:00, featuring a range of options from hot beverages and pastries to yogurt, orange juice, cereal, and fresh fruit.

There’s also a cozy lounge area with a bar, where guests can enjoy drinks and unwind. Complimentary Wi-Fi, which works flawlessly, is available throughout the hotel.

From noon onwards, guests can indulge in coffee and tea, and enjoy a selection of quality newspapers, including the New York Times. The rooms are kept at a comfortable temperature, with air conditioning available for warmer months.

A Parisian Escape Awaits

Hotel Original Paris is a true gem, offering a unique and memorable experience in the heart of Paris. With its charming decor, comfortable rooms, luxurious amenities, and exceptional service, it’s a perfect choice for families and couples seeking a stylish and relaxing retreat in the City of Lights.
