A delightful review of a charming hotel in the heart of Paris
Imagine this: you’re strolling through the enchanting streets of Paris, soaking in the city’s timeless beauty. You’re drawn to a vibrant, purple-lit building, its unique charm beckoning you closer. This, my friends, is Hotel Original Paris, and it’s a hidden treasure waiting to be discovered.
A Chic Escape in the Heart of Paris
I recently had the pleasure of staying at Hotel Original Paris during a whirlwind trip to the City of Lights. I was instantly captivated by its central location in the Marais district, a vibrant area known for its stylish boutiques, charming cafes, and rich history.
The hotel itself is a feast for the senses. Its eclectic design, crafted by Stella Cadente, blends original features with lavish materials. You’ll find unexpected surprises throughout, like a room with a bathtub strategically placed in the center. It’s like stepping into a whimsical world of fantasy and poetry.
A Room With a View (and a Comfy Bed)
My family and I booked a triple room, but were generously upgraded to a spacious quad, complete with a king-sized bed and two twin beds. The smart design allowed us to separate the twins with a curtain, ensuring I could wake up early for work without disturbing the little ones.
The lavender walls, black and white striped armchair, and red velvet desk chair made the room feel incredibly cozy and inviting. The bed, with its crisp white sheets, was pure comfort, though I did notice a plastic liner beneath the sheet – an unexpected detail that might not suit everyone. But trust me, the exceptional comfort outweighed this minor inconvenience.
A Bathroom Fit for a Queen (or a Princess!)
The bathroom was an absolute delight. Black and white ceramic tiles, fluffy bathrobes, and slippers created a luxurious feel. But the true star of the show was the Uriage eau Thermale toiletries. It was like stepping into a Parisian pharmacy, a sensory experience I adore.
The separate toilet room was a welcome convenience for a family, adding to the bathroom’s overall functionality and luxury.
Indulge in Relaxation
Hotel Original Paris goes above and beyond with its dedicated wellness area, offering a rejuvenating sauna perfect for unwinding after a day of exploring the city. The sauna was spotless, large enough for a few people, and came equipped with a shower and the fabulous Uriage eau Thermale toiletries – a welcome treat.
More Than Just a Room
This hotel is so much more than just a place to sleep. From the friendly staff who readily offer local recommendations (I loved their suggestion for a cat café!) to the free Wi-Fi and quality newspapers, you’ll feel right at home.
The well-stocked bar offers a range of drinks and the lounge provides a cozy space to relax and unwind.
And let’s not forget the breakfast, a delightful spread of viennoiseries, bread, yogurt, fresh fruit, and more.
A Parisian Dream Come True
Hotel Original Paris is truly a hidden gem. It’s the perfect blend of quirky charm, luxurious comfort, and impeccable service making it my new favorite place to stay in Paris.
If you’re looking for a unique and memorable experience in the City of Lights, this hotel is a must-visit.
