Trocadéro: The Classic Eiffel Tower View
The Esplanade de Trocadéro offers the most breathtaking panorama of the Eiffel Tower. Although some renovations are ongoing, most photo spots are accessible. The goal is to create a massive green space, stretching 1.6km around the Eiffel Tower, for pedestrians and cyclists.
What’s off limits?
You can no longer pose for photos on the wall as it has been modified to prevent seating. The iconic “sitting on the wall” photo opportunity is no longer available.
What’s still available?
During the Olympic games (and a short time before and after), access to some key Eiffel Tower spots will be restricted. We recommend checking out our guide covering the Olympics and accessible photography locations.

1. Rue de l’Université: This quiet street offers a beautiful perspective of the Eiffel Tower, framed by charming Haussmannian architecture.
2. Bir-Hakeim Bridge: Made famous by the movie Inception, this bridge boasts spectacular views. The bridge itself is a beautiful backdrop for your Paris photos.
3. Seine River Cruise: Experience romance on a river cruise, with a perfect spot offering gorgeous views near the Eiffel Tower.
4. Square de la Tour Eiffel: This spot is picturesque, especially during the warmer months, when the roses are in bloom. Parisian benches offer great props for photos.
5. Rue de l’Exposition: Located right next to the Eiffel Tower, this cute little street provides stunning views due to its close proximity to the 1,063ft tall landmark.
6. Passarelle Debilly: This pedestrian bridge is within walking distance of the Eiffel Tower and the renowned restaurant Monsieur Bleu.
