Passport and Visa Requirements

Before you travel, it’s super important to have the right paperwork! Make sure your passport is valid for at least six months after your arrival in France.

British citizens don’t need a visa to enter France. However, if you’re from another country, you’ll need to check the latest entry requirements on the French Foreign Ministry’s website and, if necessary, confirm with the French Embassy.

Health and Safety

Your health is top priority! To learn about essential health advice and any required vaccinations, visit www.gov.uk/foreign-travel-advice and https://travelhealthpro.org.uk/countries.

If you need vaccinations or other preventive measures, contact your doctor at least eight weeks before your trip. If you need medical attention while you’re away, immediately contact your insurance or medical assistance company.

Brexit and Travel to the EU

Things are a little different after Brexit. The UK government advises having at least six months left on your passport when traveling to EU countries.

Important Note: If you renewed your 10-year passport before it expired, extra months may have been added, but those months don’t count towards the six-month rule. You can use the UK Government’s website tool to check if your passport is valid: https://www.gov.uk/guidance/passport-rules-for-travel-to-europe-after-brexit.
