Let me tell you, this was the most incredible hotel experience of my life! I’m talking about the Penthouse Eiffel Suite at the Pullman Paris Eiffel Tower Hotel. This suite was huge, even bigger than my apartment back home, and offered the most breathtaking views of the Eiffel Tower imaginable. I spent hours researching the perfect Parisian hotel room, and let me tell you, you won’t find anything better than this!
This suite is truly a gem, but it doesn’t come cheap. It’s the most I’ve ever spent on a single night in a hotel! However, it’s worth every penny for the luxurious experience. It’s the only suite of its kind in the entire hotel, so you’ll have to be quick to secure it, especially for popular dates. Let’s dive into the details and see what makes the Penthouse Eiffel Suite so special.
A Parisian Oasis: The Penthouse Eiffel Suite
Step into the suite and you’ll be greeted by a spacious 110 square meters of luxury. That’s over 50% bigger than my flat! The sheer size of the suite is mind-blowing, especially compared to the average UK hotel room.
The suite boasts a fully stocked bar area, complete with a mini-fridge stocked with Prosecco, wine, beer, water, and soft drinks. While only the water and soft drinks are complimentary, the other beverages are priced similarly to what you’d find in other hotels. You’ll also find a Nespresso machine for your coffee needs, along with a variety of glasses and mugs to suit your drink preference.
The sitting area features a spacious corner sofa, a comfortable table, and a 46-inch flat-screen TV with a Bose speaker system for music or TV viewing. With floor-to-ceiling windows and doors, the suite is flooded with natural light and offers incredible views. A large marble dining table with four comfortable chairs invites you to enjoy the delicious room service options. Or, if the weather permits, take your meal out to the balcony and savor the Parisian ambiance.
A Luxurious Retreat: The Bedroom and Bathroom
The bedroom is a secluded oasis that can be separated from the main suite by sliding doors. Sink into the king-size bed, complete with some of the most comfortable pillows you’ll ever sleep on. The bedroom is spacious, with all the amenities you’d expect, plus a chaise longue and another 46-inch flat-screen TV. For those who prefer fresh air, double doors lead directly to the balcony.
The bathroom is a luxurious sanctuary, featuring a double bath with an array of C.O. Bigelow toiletries. The shower area boasts an invigorating rainfall shower with a hand shower option for added convenience. The bathroom also includes two sinks with large mirrors and a separate toilet.
For those planning a longer stay, the Penthouse Eiffel Suite offers ample storage space with a walk-in wardrobe. There is also a Bose dock with an iPad to enjoy music throughout the suite.
The Eiffel Tower View: The Heart of the Penthouse
This review wouldn’t be complete without mentioning the most stunning feature of the Penthouse Eiffel Suite: the breathtaking view of the Eiffel Tower. I searched high and low for the best Eiffel Tower view from a hotel room, and this one was by far the best! Even the concierge service at my American Express Platinum card couldn’t find anything better. The view is truly the pièce de résistance of this suite.
The suite boasts a continuous balcony spanning the width of the room, providing ample space to enjoy the Parisian air with a table and chairs. Don’t miss the opportunity to capture the Eiffel Tower’s mesmerizing sparkle every hour from 6pm to 1am for the perfect Instagram shot.
A Stay at the Pullman Paris Eiffel Tower Hotel
The Pullman Paris Eiffel Tower Hotel sits on the left bank of the Seine, conveniently located next to the Eiffel Tower. The hotel offers a wide selection of 430 rooms in nine different types, including three suite types. You’ll also find the FRAME brasserie and a bar for dining and relaxation. Check-in starts at 2pm, and you can request an early check-in if you arrive early, like I did. Check-out is at 11am, but I was able to arrange a noon check-out with no problem.
Getting There: Options for Every Traveler
Getting to the hotel is easy, with options to suit every traveler. Charles de Gaulle airport is about 18 miles away, and Paris Orly airport is approximately 10 miles away. The Gare Champ de Mars Tour Eiffel station is a short five-minute walk from the hotel, and you can reach it from Charles de Gaulle airport via the RER B and RER C train services in under an hour for about 11€. Another option is to take Le Bus Direct line 2, which takes roughly 60-70 minutes and costs 18€. Alternatively, you can choose to drive, as paid parking is available at the hotel.
A Culinary Delight: Room Service at Its Best
With a stunning view of the Eiffel Tower and a large marble dining table, it would have been silly to go down to the brasserie. I opted for room service, and I wasn’t disappointed! The starters ranged from 11€ for soup to 19€ for a delicious chopped avocado salad with smoked salmon toast and a grain bowl.
Main courses started at 14€ for linguine and went up to 37€ for a succulent 300g seared strip steak, which was absolutely divine! The hotel staff brought it up on a hot plate and set the table, making for a delightful dining experience. Other main course options included a spiced chicken dish and the fish of the day.
Desserts were around 12€ on average, with options including chocolate fondant, cheese, and fruit salad. Some of the dishes were available 24 hours a day, and there was a healthy menu section with healthier choices. For a shared platter, the TV Dinner option offered smoked salmon, roasted chicken, ham, cheese, salad, and tortillas for 29€.
Would I Stay Again? Absolutely!
Would I stay at the Penthouse Eiffel Suite again? Absolutely! While the price might seem daunting, it’s an unforgettable experience that I highly recommend for a special occasion. How often do you get to stay in a room with an amazing view of the Eiffel Tower? I can’t wait to experience this luxury again!
