Paris! The City of Lights, the City of Love, the city that sparks dreams in everyone’s heart. For many, including us, Paris is an absolute must-see destination. But even in Paris, the right hotel can make or break your trip. There are thousands of hotels in Paris, and choosing the best one can be overwhelming. But fear not! We’re here to tell you about our fantastic experience at the Hôtel la Comtesse Paris, a boutique hotel that made our #FallInFrance trip absolutely unforgettable.

Finding The Perfect Parisian Haven
When searching for the perfect Parisian hotel, location was key. We wanted to avoid car rentals and explore the iconic sites of the Vieux Cité, the historic heart of Paris. Most of the major attractions are located near the River Seine, so we narrowed our search to the Arrondissements (neighborhoods) flanking the river. Somewhere between the Arc de Triomphe and the Latin Quarter, our ideal hotel awaited.
We had one big wish: a view of the Eiffel Tower. As you can imagine, some of the best hotels near the Eiffel Tower came with a hefty price tag. But we found a hidden gem – the Hôtel la Comtesse Paris Tour Eiffel, a hotel offering stunning views without breaking the bank.
A Boutique Hotel With Parisian Charm
Hôtel la Comtesse is a boutique hotel, with just 40 rooms and suites, each decorated with an elegant 18th-century flair. The building itself is a beautiful example of Parisian Haussmannian architecture, with a wedge shape that gives the rooms at the “bottom” of the V the best views. Unfortunately, those rooms are highly sought-after and often booked. We’ll talk about our room choice in a bit!
Stepping into the lobby is like stepping back in time, into a Parisian literary parlor of the 18th century. Look up and admire the beautiful frescoes on the ceiling, or test your French with a book from the bookshelf. You can easily spend time simply relaxing in one of the comfy chairs and watching the Parisian life unfold outside the window.
Modern Amenities Meet Classic Charm
The hotel also boasts the La Comtesse Café, with windows on two sides and sidewalk seating. Imagine sipping your morning coffee with the Eiffel Tower as your backdrop – pure Parisian magic! The hotel also offers fitness facilities, including a small gym and sauna. We regret not taking full advantage of the sauna during our cool fall visit!
Room With A View…Sort Of
We opted for a Marquise Room, la Comtesse’s name for a “Superior Double” with a side view of the Eiffel Tower. The room was small by American standards but typical for European hotels. It comfortably accommodated two people for a few days, with a queen-sized bed, a desk, and two chairs.
The bathroom was surprisingly spacious but lacked counter space. The open shower, while modern, led to a wet and slippery bathroom in the chilly weather. Luckily, the towel warmer was a lifesaver!
More Than Just A Room, It’s An Experience
The hotel offered a delightful help-yourself breakfast, featuring pastries, cheese, meats, yogurts, and fruit. Our favorite feature? The traditional hot croissants and the amazing coffee maker! We loved making our own cappuccinos and espressos every morning – a true Parisian experience!
Hôtel la Comtesse offers everything you need for a comfortable and memorable stay: a convenient location, charming decor, friendly staff, and a delicious breakfast. But the real highlight? The unforgettable experience of waking up every morning to the view of the Eiffel Tower from the cozy comfort of the hotel’s café. It truly captures the essence of Parisian life.
A Staff That Makes You Feel at Home
Just like any hotel, the staff can make or break your stay. The staff at Hôtel la Comtesse was exceptional. From the moment we arrived, they made us feel welcome and truly went above and beyond to ensure we had a wonderful experience. They were always friendly, helpful, and professional, and we were delighted by their genuine warmth and hospitality.
A Perfect Parisian Base
Hôtel la Comtesse offers a perfect balance of comfort, charm, and convenience. It’s an ideal base for exploring the city, with many of the city’s major attractions within easy walking distance.
Would we recommend it? Absolutely! We had a wonderful stay, and we would definitely return. The Hôtel la Comtesse offers a truly authentic Parisian experience, and we highly recommend it to anyone looking for a charming and comfortable hotel in the City of Lights.
