Paris Public Transportation: Your Gateway to Exploration

Of course, Paris’s public transport system is a true blessing when you need to cover more ground. The RATP manages all the city’s transportation options, from the Metro to buses and even night buses (Noctilien). Their website is your one-stop shop for route planning and real-time traffic updates, ensuring you’re always in the know.

Navigate Paris by Metro and Bus: Ticket Types and Prices

Paris’s Metro runs from 5:20 a.m. to 1:20 a.m., with trains arriving every 2 to 4 minutes. A single ticket (T+) costs €2.15 and allows you unlimited transfers within zones 1 and 2 for 1.5 hours. It even works on the Montmartre Funicular and buses, though transfers are not allowed on these. You can purchase tickets at any station or tobacco shop.

For frequent travelers, a ten-ticket carnet costs €17.35, offering a 25% discount. For specific journeys, an Origin-Destination ticket based on distance is also an option.
