I’ve stayed in a lot of hotels, but nothing compares to the Pullman Eiffel Suite (now called the Penthouse Eiffel Suite) at the Pullman Paris Eiffel Tower Hotel. It’s truly exceptional. Not only is the suite huge, bigger than my entire flat, but it offers the most incredible view of the Eiffel Tower you’ll ever see. I spent countless hours researching the best hotel rooms with Eiffel Tower views in Paris, and this suite is hands down the winner. You won’t find a better option! This is my review of the Pullman Eiffel Suite, and trust me, it’s worth every penny.
A Luxurious Experience
Now, this kind of prime real estate doesn’t come cheap. It’s the most I’ve ever spent on a single night in a hotel, which is saying something! I’d typically expect to pay that much for a week-long stay. Since this is the only suite of its kind in the entire hotel, you’ll need to be quick if you want to snag it, especially for popular dates.
Unparalleled Space and Amenities
The suite is absolutely massive, clocking in at 110 square meters. That’s 50% larger than the flat I was living in at the time! The sheer amount of space is mind-blowing, especially compared to the average UK hotel room, which is around 32 square meters.
As soon as you step inside, you’re greeted by a fully stocked bar area on the right. The mini fridge is filled with prosecco, wine, beer, water, and soft drinks. While only the water and soft drinks are complimentary, the other drinks are priced reasonably, in line with typical hotel prices. You’ll also find a Nespresso machine for your coffee fix, along with a selection of glasses and mugs.
A Room with a View
Next up is a comfortable seating area with a corner sofa, table, and a 46-inch flat-screen TV with a Bose speaker system. The whole suite boasts floor-to-ceiling windows and doors, ensuring a constant flow of natural light and breathtaking views. After the seating area, you’ll find a grand marble dining table with four comfy chairs, perfect for enjoying the hotel’s room service menu. You can also dine al fresco on the balcony if the weather permits.
The spacious bedroom can be closed off from the main suite with sliding doors. It features a king-size bed with luxuriously comfortable pillows. The bedroom is well-appointed with all the standard amenities, plus the added bonus of a chaise longue and another 46-inch flat-screen TV. Double doors lead out to the balcony from the bedroom.
A Spa-Like Bathroom
On the other side of the bedroom, you’ll find a massive bathroom area. In the corner, there’s a double bath with a generous selection of C. O. Bigelow toiletries. The shower area features an amazing rainfall shower with a hand shower for added convenience. The main room has two sinks with two large mirrors and a second toilet.
If you’re planning a longer stay, the Pullman Eiffel Suite offers plenty of storage space, including a walk-in wardrobe. You’ll also find a Bose dock with an iPad for playing music throughout the suite.
The Star of the Show: The Eiffel Tower View
No review of the Pullman Eiffel Suite would be complete without highlighting the spectacular view of the Eiffel Tower. I spent countless hours researching to find the best hotel room with an Eiffel Tower view, and this was my top pick. I even consulted the concierge service through my American Express Platinum card, and they couldn’t find a better option either. The unparalleled view of the Eiffel Tower from the room is undoubtedly the suite’s most unique selling point.
The suite also boasts a continuous balcony stretching across the entire length of the room, complete with a table and chairs.
Pro Tip: From 6pm, the Eiffel Tower sparkles for five minutes every hour until 1am. This is the perfect time for those Instagram-worthy shots.
The Hotel: Beyond the Suite
The hotel is located on the left bank of Paris, right next to the Eiffel Tower. It houses a massive 430 rooms across nine different types, including three different suite options. The hotel also has the FRAME brasserie and a bar for your dining and drinking pleasure. Check-in starts at 2pm, but we were able to request an early check-in and arrive around noon. Check-out is at 11am, but again, we were able to request a noon check-out and they were more than accommodating.
Getting There
The hotel is about 18 miles from Charles de Gaulle airport and 10 miles from Paris Orly airport. The Gare Champ de Mars Tour Eiffel station is a short five-minute walk away. You can get there from Charles de Gaulle airport using a combination of the RER B and RER C services in just under an hour. The cost is around 11€ (£9 / $12) one way. Another option is to take Le Bus Direct line 2. This takes about 60-70 minutes and costs 18€ (£15 / $20) one way, but you won’t have to change lines. You could also drive, as paid parking is available at the hotel.
Room Service Delights
With the stunning view and the spacious dining table, we decided to enjoy room service instead of venturing out to the brasserie. Starters ranged from 11€ (£9 / $12) for soup to 19€ (£16 / $21) for a chopped avocado salad with smoked salmon toast and a grain bowl in between.
Main courses started at 14€ (£12 / $16) for linguine and went up to 37€ (£32 / $41) for a 300g seared strip steak. We both opted for the steak, and it was absolutely delicious! The hotel staff brought it up on a hot plate and set the table for us, which was a nice touch. Other main course options included a spiced chicken dish and the fish of the day.
Desserts averaged around 12€ (£10 / $13), with options like chocolate fondant, cheese, and fruit salad. Some of the dishes across all three courses were available 24/7, and there were healthy options marked on the menu. They also offered a “TV Dinner” option, which included a sharing platter with smoked salmon, roasted chicken, ham, cheese, salad, and tortillas for 29€ (£25 / $32).
Would I Stay Here Again? Absolutely!
I would absolutely stay at the Pullman Eiffel Suite again in a heartbeat. The price might seem daunting to some, but for a special occasion, it’s worth every penny. The suite is truly exceptional, and how often do you get to say you stayed in a room with the best view of the Eiffel Tower? I wish I could afford to stay in luxurious places like this on every trip!
