Money Matters:

Euro is the currency you’ll need in France. It’s wise to exchange your spending money before your trip as ATM access and credit/debit card acceptance can be limited at some destinations. Keep some change on hand as public toilets in many European countries require a small fee. Traveler’s checks and currencies like USD or GBP are not widely accepted on this tour.

Packing for the Journey:

Long journeys are inevitable when exploring different cities. We recommend packing essential items like water, snacks, and a camera in your carry-on bag. Travel times on this tour are extensive, so be prepared!

Meal Plans and Dietary Needs:

Breakfast is included at all hotels. Expect a delicious continental breakfast with tea, coffee, bread, cereals, fruit, and yogurt. Vegetarian, Jain, and non-vegetarian (excluding Halal) dietary options are available. Simply inform your tour representative of your preferences on the first day. Note that meals are pre-set buffet style, so there are no menu choices. Tap water is provided with meals.

Lunch is not included on this tour. You may have the opportunity to stop at a service station or enjoy meals at your chosen excursions. Vegetarian options may be limited, so if you have specific dietary needs, we strongly advise bringing your own lunch.

Staying Comfortable:

Not all hotels have air conditioning, especially during the warmer months. Pack a portable fan for extra comfort. Kettles may not be available in every hotel room, so consider bringing a bottle warmer/kettle and a thermos flask if you need hot water. Travel-sized irons and hairdryers are also helpful as these amenities may not be provided in all rooms.

Double occupancy rooms may feature two single beds pushed together. This is a common practice in European hotels to maximize room usage. Be prepared for this arrangement.

Extra Expenses:

Hotel services like phone calls, mini-bar items, and pay TV are not included in your tour cost. You will be billed directly by the hotel at checkout for these services.

Disneyland Paris:

Get ready for a magical adventure at Disneyland Paris, home to two parks – Disneyland Park and Walt Disney Studios Park. Your ticket allows access to either park. We highly recommend familiarizing yourself with the park layout by visiting their website and checking the latest map. Plan your must-do attractions to avoid disappointment, and don’t miss the iconic Disney Parades!

Important Note: You will not be staying at Disneyland until it closes, so you’ll miss the evening firework display, parade, and illuminations. If you wish to experience these, you’ll need to make your own way back to the hotel. Dinner and transfers are not provided, and no compensation is offered for missed activities.

Fastpass and Entrance Fees:

Take advantage of the free Fastpass service to minimize waiting times for popular attractions. Entrance to the Louvre is not included, so plan your time carefully. The Louvre covers an expansive area, so dedicate your time to key attractions like the Mona Lisa and the Marley Horses.

Your ticket only provides access to the Gardens of Versailles. Entry into the Chateau may not be possible due to visitor restrictions and time constraints.

Pick-Up and Drop-Off:

Arrive at your designated pick-up point at least 15 minutes before your scheduled departure time. Your pick-up point, address, and time are detailed on your invoice. If your pick-up is outside Wembley, Southall, or East Ham, you’ll receive confirmation of your specific pick-up time.

Return journeys from the continent are scheduled to arrive at Dover or Folkestone between 7pm and 8pm. We’ll then proceed to the original pick-up points in London, with estimated arrival between 10:30pm and 12:30am the following day.

Transportation for pick-up points outside London may be arranged by private car, minibus, or coach. Occasionally, there may be a wait of up to an hour for connecting transfers upon your return. You can expect a call from Star Tours a day before your departure to confirm details. Star Tours reserves the right to adjust pick-up times 12 hours prior to departure.

Travel Documents and Weather:

A passport valid for three months beyond your stay and issued within the past 10 years is required for all nationalities, except EU nationals holding a valid passport or national ID card.

If you hold an Indian, Pakistani, or Bangladeshi passport, you’ll need a Schengen visa prior to travel. British, EU, and American nationals typically do not require Schengen visas. If you have any questions, please contact us.

The weather in Paris is similar to England, known for its unpredictable nature. Bring an umbrella regardless of the season. Temperatures vary, so check online for average temperatures at your chosen destinations.

Packing for Comfort:

Dress for comfort and pack appropriate clothing, footwear, and accessories. During winter months, most sightseeing will be in the dark, as daylight hours are shorter in Europe. If you’re unsure about packing for the weather, consult with Star Tours at the time of booking.

Accessibility and Child Seats:

We welcome lightweight manual wheelchairs provided they can be stored in the coach’s luggage hold. A family member must accompany wheelchair users on the tour to provide assistance. Star Tours will request hotels for suitable rooms, but this is on a request basis and cannot be guaranteed. The Eiffel Tower and some Disney rides are not fully accessible to wheelchair users.

Child seats are mandatory in coaches for children under 12 or shorter than 150 cm. Children under 7 or less than 125 cm tall must use a child seat with a harness or restraint system. Children between 7 and 12 or between 125 and 150 cm tall must use a booster seat or cushion. It’s the responsibility of the child’s parent or guardian to provide the appropriate child seat.
