A Focus on French Gastronomy
The Eiffel Tower is committed to providing its 6 million annual visitors with a truly exceptional experience. Building upon the recent groundscaping and garden renovations, the Tower is focusing on showcasing the best of Parisian and French cuisine. This ambitious project is a key part of their vision for the future, ensuring that every visitor enjoys a memorable experience.
Elevated Dining: The Jules Verne
Get ready for a transformative dining experience at the reimagined Jules Verne, located on the second floor of the Eiffel Tower. This flagship restaurant will reopen its doors in the summer of 2019, led by renowned chef Frédéric Anton, a three-star Michelin chef and Meilleur Ouvrier de France. Anton’s vision is to create a must-visit gastronomic destination in Paris, and the Jules Verne is set to achieve that with its exceptional cuisine and stunning ambiance.
The journey begins at ground level with a refreshed entrance and a private elevator, setting the stage for an extraordinary culinary experience. Inside the Jules Verne, guests will be greeted by a modern, elegant interior designed by the acclaimed architect, Aline Asmar d’Amman. The menu features a modern twist on classic French dishes, with unique offerings such as breakfast, private lounge dining, and a chance to experience the kitchen first-hand.
The Brasserie: Parisian Bistro with a Modern Twist
Step onto the first floor and discover the reimagined Brasserie, formerly known as the 58 Tour Eiffel. The double-starred chef Thierry Marx is taking the helm of this popular dining spot, bringing his signature bistro cuisine with a focus on simple, high-quality ingredients.
The Brasserie is undergoing a complete transformation, led by the talented design team of Ramy Fischler and Nicola Delon. The reimagined space will feature island-style seating for enhanced views of the cityscape and the Tower’s original structure.
Before the complete renovation takes place, the Brasserie will be offering new menus created by Chef Marx, beginning March 13th. The full transformation will be completed in early 2020, with the Brasserie showcasing a deep commitment to sustainability and social responsibility.
Taste Bud Temptations on Every Floor
The Eiffel Tower is going all out to deliver deliciousness on every level! From the Esplanade to the top, visitors will find unique food and beverage options throughout the year.
On the Esplanade: Enjoy tasty Eiffel Tower cones, seasonal snacks from food tricycles, and the convenience of ordering pancakes and waffles via the “bee” delivery service.
On the first floor: The traditional Parisian bistro opens its doors in December 2019, offering take-away sandwiches by Chef Marx during the day and local dishes for dinner.
On the second floor: Visitors will be tempted by the “Comptoir” stands, featuring a selection of exclusive and colorful take-away dishes, including mini sandwiches, pastries, and artisan macarons.
At the top: The Champagne Bar is expanding this spring, offering champagne and caviar for a truly unforgettable experience at 905 feet above the ground.
A Collaborative Effort for Culinary Excellence
This transformative food and beverage project is a result of a dynamic partnership between Sodexo, three shareholders, and renowned chefs. Umanis, led by Sodexo, is responsible for the overall concession, with Frédéric Anton leading the Jules Verne, Thierry Marx heading the Brasserie, and Ubudu specializing in visitor flow management.
The Guilde des artisans, a network of Parisian and Ile-de-France food artisans, is a key component of this project. These artisans, selected for their exceptional skills and eco-responsible practices, will be offering their locally sourced, seasonal products to the Tower’s visitors. This initiative not only highlights local craftsmanship but also supports the local economy and the social fabric of Paris.
